A public house has occupied this site since 1766 (it was formerly named 'The Goat') and now running for 11 years under the same management and with the recent addition of new head chef, Mr Antoine Steyne. The Stag Maidwell has a large beer garden for the summer time hosting weddings/outdoor events/bbqs, and warming log burner fires during the winter, with themed evenings, quizzes and live music. L

aunched in 2019, we are pleased to introduce our Coffee Shop that caters for passing commuters in Northampton, Market Harborough, Leicestershire and surrounding Northamptonshire villages, as well as our local community. Pop in for a fine cup of our Jute coffee – a blend of 100% Arabica beans that are sustainably resourced. We also serve a fine selection of fresh cakes, sandwiches and snacks, catering for all dietary requirements. Plus if it is a private meeting that you need to have, just let us know and we can reserve a quiet area for you and serve coffee to you no problem!

We are open today despite the road being closed for the day with ‘0’ communication from the local authorities once again.
