Double the love, meet Buster and Buddy!

Looking for a double dose of joy? Buster and his brother Buddy are an inseparable pair at Dogs Trust Merseyside, and they are searching for a forever home together. They are a bonded pair who love to play together and then snuggle up in the same bed. Buster is a total people lover who gets so excited to make new friends that he might sing you a little happy song for the first few minutes! He already knows some basic training, jumps straight into cars without hesitation, and is always ready to join his new family on exciting adventures.

Buddy is a lovely older lad, he is a curious and confident little fella who has been enjoying all the cuddles and attention on offer here at the centre. Although he is friendly with other dogs he has met at the centre, he can get a little over amorous at times so will need to be the only dog at home, along with Buster of course! Buddy knows a few basic training commands already and is happy to travel in the car so would love a new family who could take him along on trips out.

Because both brothers can be a little over-friendly when meeting other dogs, they will need to be the only pets in their new home. They would love adopters who are around for most of the day at first to give them a quick house training refresher and to build up their left alone time gradually as they settle in.

Anyone who has already fallen in love with these two and would like to adopt them should also note that Buster has a mild collapsed trachea. It currently causes him no issues and needs no medication, but it will require simple long term management. His new family just needs to keep him at a healthy weight, use a harness instead of a collar on walks, monitor for any coughing, and keep up with regular vet check ups.

Roll up, Roll up! The Circus is at Blackmere this Bank Holiday weekend!

The spectacular James Richards Circus is performing right next door at Blakemere Village this Bank Holiday weekend. It is an all human production packed full of international acrobats, jaw dropping stunts, and the hilarious Rivelino clowns from Spain!

Well Tatton Park have their outdoor cinema running between Saturday 29th August to Monday 1st September with a variety of different films playing, so there is something for everyone. They have Mammia Mia!, Beauty & The Beast (Disney animated version), Labyrinth, Bohemian Rhapsody and Tangled playing.

The outdoor cinema events offer a fully immersive way to experience films. There is something truly special about watching a movie under the sky, surrounded by a crowd of people loving every second.

Here at Oakmere Country Park, we love our furry companions just as much as our human owners! Because we are a proud, dog friendly lodge park, we wanted to share a very special story from our friends at Dogs Trust Merseyside.

Meet the gorgeous Bonnie. At nine years old, this beautiful, sweet natured girl finds herself looking for a fresh start through no fault of her own. Rescued from Romania as a four month old pup and has lived in the UK since. Sadly, her owner has become very poorly and can no longer care for her, so she is back in rescue and hoping to find a special owner to love.

Bonnie is a gentle soul who is a little timid at first. She just needs a patient friend willing to visit her a few times to show her the world is a kind place. Once she knows you, her true colors shine, and she reveals herself to be the most wonderfully affectionate companion!

The tranquil sound of the rain and the fountain this morning

Remember the stunning recladding we shared recently? Well, the transformation is nearly complete, just the glass front to be fitted!

Take a look at this incredible new decking. This lodge has been given a complete new look, pairing the modern green cladding with new glass front, timber toned balustrades and a crisp, light deck floor.

It’s gone from a dark wood look to a bright and contemporary look, perfect for enjoying those sunny days we have recently been having. The glass panels will seamlessly open up the view, making the veranda feel twice the size.

Thank you to Excel Plastics Decking for their amazing work, it has completely transformed the lodge.
