Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that today will be our last day here at The Red Lion. Since the beginning of December, I have run the pub myself alongside my other work. Trying to find a work–life balance has been difficult, and with three young kids, it just hasn’t worked.
We did consider another manager but having the wrong person running it can become disastrous, as I’ve found out a few times. Thanks Mel Dixon
This is an industry where you have to live and breathe it to make it worthwhile for the amount of time you put in.
After many discussions with my family, we have decided to move on so I can spend more time with them and concentrate on my other work. Time is something we can never get back.
This has been a tough decision and is not something i wanted to do but i know its the best decision for my family.
The keys will be passed on to the owners of the building, and the pub will remain closed until further notice.
I would like to thank the current staff, Also past staff members Kendra, Nicola, Jimi, Ste Maunder who has helped me when ever we needed him. Marty and Mick the DJ’s and all the artists that have played here.
I wish you all the best for the future even the keyboard warriors.
