😲 You don’t come across many places to stay where simply getting to the top is part of the experience.

Built in 1877 to supply fresh water to the Royal residence, this extraordinary Victorian Water Tower on the Sandringham Estate has now been transformed into a romantic retreat for two.

You climb through the tower level by level, with narrow winding staircases, treetop views and little reminders of its Royal history along the way.

Then right at the top, you step out onto the rooftop terrace and suddenly Norfolk opens up around you.

We popped in to see friends staying here a couple of months ago... and really didn’t want to leave.

After a day on the North Norfolk coast, we fired up the BBQ in the garden, opened a bottle and settled in for the evening.

Good times!
