This Grade II listed hall has this striking space that was once nothing more than an accounts store, tucked away and overlooked.

Now it’s just part of Norfolk’s most striking retreats, with a bathroom carved into brick vaults that feels more chapel than bathroom.

Soak beneath exposed brick ceilings, dress the part in period-furnished rooms, and let the whole place slow you right down.

It’s a beautifully converted 19th-century BOAT, sitting beside the RSPB reserve and just 500 metres from the beach.

And those views aren’t bad either…

😲 You don’t come across many places to stay where simply getting to the top is part of the experience.

Built in 1877 to supply fresh water to the Royal residence, this extraordinary Victorian Water Tower on the Sandringham Estate has now been transformed into a romantic retreat for two.

You climb through the tower level by level, with narrow winding staircases, treetop views and little reminders of its Royal history along the way.

Then right at the top, you step out onto the rooftop terrace and suddenly Norfolk opens up around you.

We don’t often rebook the same cottage twice.

But we’ve already booked this one again.

It’s one of those cottages that feels properly considered. Original beams, curved walls and muted tones give it real depth, but it never tips into fussy.

The inglenook fireplace anchors the sitting room beautifully, though if we’re honest, we spent most of our time in the garden room.

It’s lighter, calmer, and looks straight onto the lawn, which Maxie our little pooch claimed within minutes.

We cooked most evenings, used the farmhouse table properly, and slipped out for easy drives to Blakeney and the coast whenever we fancied sea air.

This cottage is wonderfully comfortable, and very easy to settle into.

That’s exactly why we’re going back.

It’s the whole horizon, right in front of you.

Footsteps from the beach, terrace facing the water, and a proper sea view that actually earns the name.
