Meet Baron Broadwing, our resident buzzard and undisputed ruler of the skies above Poolside Lodges. With thermal‑riding finesse and a talent for spotting his lunch from 200 feet up, he’s the woodland’s most dramatic performer.

You’ll often see him circling overhead like he owns the entire postcode, calling across the trees just to remind everyone he’s in charge. Guests relaxing in the hot tub or sitting around the pool area are treated to his spectacular aerial displays — a true highlight of staying here. Some days he even brings a few friends along, and you might spot up to five of them soaring together.

Keep your eyes on the sky… the Baron loves an audience.

We’re a husband‑and‑wife team. We’re not marketing experts, and we’re definitely not the shout‑about‑everything type. But we care deeply about what we’ve built here, and we wanted to share the heart behind it. ❤️

For us, it’s simple: creating stress‑free, memory‑making holidays that you and your children will look back on for years. That’s really all we’ve ever wanted to do — well, that and provide for our own family too.

Our guests last week surprised us with the sweetest hand‑drawn picture of our site — complete with the pool and their grandkids enjoying their stay.

They were such a genuinely lovely family, full of warmth and kindness, and this little drawing captured their joy perfectly. It’s going straight on our office wall.

Just 20 minutes from our site - a super day out for all the family. Our kids had many, many play days here growing up… miss going as now they are too old 😔 Great park that’s always adding new attractions. A place your kids will remember for a very long time!!!!

We’re always working quietly behind the scenes to make your stay feel extra special — and that includes keeping our swimming pool looking crystal clear every single day. From early‑morning checks to detailed cleaning routines, we make sure the water stays fresh, inviting and ready for little swimmers the moment they wake up.

One of the jobs we do is waterline cleaning, which keeps the pool edges spotless and the whole area sparkling. And don’t worry… we're out there bright and early before anyone’s up and during changeovers, so you’ll only ever see the pool at its best, never the hard work behind it 😉
