You may have received the emergency alert on your mobile phone today warning about the high risk of wildfires across England and Wales.

Here at Honey Bee Camping, we’re asking all our lovely campers to please take extra care while you’re staying with us. ❤️

🚫 No campfires or open fires
🚫 Please don’t use BBQs or anything that could easily start a fire
🌿 Please take extra care with ci******es and dispose of them safely.

With the ground and vegetation being so dry, even a small spark can quickly turn into a serious fire.

We know sitting outside and enjoying a BBQ is part of the camping experience, but right now safety has to come first. 🔥🚫

If you do see a fire, please call 999 immediately and follow the emergency services’ instructions.

🌠 100 SHOOTING STARS AN HOUR! 🌠

Forget expensive days out — one of the best free shows of the summer holidays is happening right above your head! ✨

The Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak on the night of 12–13 August, and this year we have the added bonus of a new moon, meaning darker skies and excellent conditions for spotting shooting stars. 🌌

Under really dark skies, you could see up to 100 meteors an hour! And the best part? You don’t need a telescope — just find somewhere comfortable, lie back and give your eyes around 20 minutes to adjust to the darkness.

So grab a blanket, some snacks and the family, head outside and look up! 🌠
