Please convey my warm thanks to the Members and Guests of The Royal Lancers (Queen Elizabeths' Own) Veterans Association, Nottingham Branch (Fondouk Troop) for their loyal greetings, sent on the occasion of their Sixth Annual Balaclava Reunion Dinner which is being held tonight at the Delta by Marriott – Nottingham Belfry Hotel.
As your Colonel-in-Chief, I was interested to learn that this evening’s gathering is celebrating the Centenary of the formation of 17th/21st Lancers on 27th June, 1922.
Your kind message is appreciated and, in return, I send my best wishes to you all for a most memorable and enjoyable evening.

It is with regret that we, the Committee, have no option but to cancel the forthcoming Dinner on 16 January 2021 due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 (CoronaVirus). The next Dinner will be on Saturday 25 June 2022 to celebrate the Centenary of the formation of 17th/21st Lancers in 1922. Please put this date in your diary now.

It’s very important to us, as the Regimental Association for all Lancer regiments, that we stay connected with anyone who has ever served in any Lancer regiment and help former Lancers to be connected to the Regimental Association and with each other.
Working with an independent communications agency, we’ve put together this survey to collect your views.
The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete and is anonymous, so please respond honestly with your true feelings. You have until midnight on Sunday 5th July 2020 to take part.
Thank you very much if you have already taken part – over 900 veteran Lancers have already! We will be sharing a summary of the results a few weeks after the survey closes.
Please do continue to share the survey link with anyone you know who has served in a Lancer regiment, as we don’t have contact details for everyone.
