We have today just said goodbye to the lovely Jill - Hotel assessor from "Quality in Tourism" and we are pleased to announce that we been graded as 5 Star + Gold Award as well as a Breakfast Award. We were also awarded 2 Accolades - Recommended for Walkers and Cyclists because Bridge House & Newark are so great for these pursuits

Hi all

Just had an overnight stay from Visit Britain - Enjoy England for an impromptu quality assessment. Glad to say that we are still rated as a 5 star Guest Accommodation, with an even better percentage score AND we got another BREAKFAST AWARD. Well done Lynn my lovely wife and perfect (I say) hostess. Come and stay and see if you agree. Great deals to be had here on 2 & 4 night min breaks and so much to do locally to fill your time.

The Solar PV system has been up & running for a while now - what with this and our Biomass boiler our carbon footprint is pretty small now.

Our Green energy heating system is now fully installed and running now on wood pellets instead of the old fossil fuel gas boiler. Our thanks to CTS of Mansfield for a super Windhager Biomass installation
