Across the UK, pubs are closing at the rate of one per day this year, with the British Beer & Pub Association warning of around 378 permanent closures in 2025 alone. 
Many of these closures come because high taxes, rising energy bills and labour costs are squeezing margins tighter than ever. 
We’ve faced it ourselves: you come in for a pint, for a meal, for the banter — and behind the scenes we’re working harder than ever just to keep the doors open.
That’s why we are backing the campaign to cut VAT on hospitality, giving pubs like ours a fighting chance.
