The great escape ?
Just over five years ago, both Wendy and I were living and working in the South of England, caught up in the frenzy that is modern life and striving to get more time together and a chance to appreciate our lives.
We had been periodically visiting an old friend in the Oban area and had fallen in love with Argyll and couldn’t wait for our return.
With this in mind, we started formulating and escape plan.. but what to do? We began to look for suitable opportunities to allow us to live and work in the area on a long term basis. As anyone will tell you, who has embarked on such a venture, it is never an easy task.
One of the few options open, which appealed to us both, but in which neither of us had any experience, was the hospitality sector.
