Watch as the Clansman makes it's way to Tiree.

"Is this the best place to stay in Oban.. probably?

This was the first but definitely not the last time we'll be visiting The Barriemore Oban. Situated on the shoreline just a ten minute leisurely stroll along the esplanade into Oban with great places to eat and drink it's rightly named the seafood capital. Did I mention the views, you've got to go and see for yourself, Can't wait to get back.."

"3 nights in Oban

A 5 min walk from Oban town centre, great location with views out over the water. We took our dog so space to walk him safely as well as some little green spaces to explore. Great location.
Room was a good size, clean with a very comfortable bed.
Welcomed by Mark, and whilst we didn’t need anything, we knew anything we did need would have been accommodated.
Oban is a very friend wonderful little town, central to explore the area.
Will be back and would recommend the Barriemore as a great place to stay."

Oban population aprox 8,000.
Can increase to somewhere over 24,000 during tourist season.
Our small businesses welcome the tourists each season and love to encourage guests to support other local businesses.
Oban is on the Firth of Lorn.

The bay forms a near perfect horseshoe, protected by the island of Kerrera; and beyond Kerrera, the Isle of Mull.

To the north are the long low island of Lismore and the mountains of Morvern and Ardgour.
