Savour classic Scottish dining, local whiskies & warm hospitality. Lochnell Arms Hotel is based in North Connel, just 5 miles outside of Oban. We have 10 en suite bedrooms, our own lovely restaurant which is open for both residents and non-residents. The restaurant overlooks Loch Etive and boasts a stunning sea view. We also have an outdoor terrace for dining or just a drink when the weather allows! There is a small lounge bar and a public bar. Food is served daily from 12.30 till 8pm.

There’s nothing quite like bringing in the bells with your own folk 🫶🏼❤️

New Year at the Lochnell is all about good people, familiar faces, a warm welcome and that special kind of local love that makes our community what it is 🥹✨

Here’s what we’ve got lined up to welcome in 2027 together:

🎆 Fireworks lighting up Loch Etive
🥓 Bacon rolls to keep us going into the wee hours
❤️ Plenty of laughs, a whole lot of love and bad dancing! 😆

Whether you’ve been celebrating with us for years or you’re joining us for the first time, there’s always room for one more at the Lochnell. It’s our favourite way to see out the year - together, as a community, with a whole lot of heart 🫶🏼

We love welcoming back returning Guests!

Even when their last stay at Lochnell Arms was 60 years ago!

Mr & Mrs Graham first visited the hotel 60 years ago while touring the Scottish west coast. They weren't married at the time, so while Mrs Graham got a lovely holiday cottage next to the hotel to stay in Mr Graham got to sleep in the outhouse 🤭

He told our Manager Beth that he was amazed to find a half bottle of wh**ky in his bed that night! She couldn't help herself and slipped a miniature of Oban - Little Bay into their bed last night while they were at dinner- we are suckers for tradition here!

This time however they have the luxury of staying in one of our Lochview Balcony Rooms! The story is the embodiment of how magical a place the Lochnell Arms Hotel is. To Guests, past, present and future. We appreciate you all ❤️
