LOCAL EVENT - OPENING TODAY 🌻

THE DARTMOOR PHOTOGRAPHS OF CHRIS CHAPMAN

PROVIDENCE METHODIST CHAPEL
THROWLEIGH EX20 2HZ

SATURDAY 10th MAY 12pm to 6pm ish

All 75 images in our growing collection will be available to be seen this Saturday and they will include 8 previously unseen at Providence.

Whether you come for the images, the teas or the chat we are pleased to see you and welcome you to our simple chapel to enjoy however long you choose to stay.
You might also like to visit us and then after tea take a walk in the surrounding lanes and enjoy the sun on our beautiful hedgerow flowers which are at their peak currently.

Whatever the reason for attending we hope you enjoy your visit and leave feeling happy and content..and obviously full

Due to a last minute cancellation, we now have availability for this weekend, 9th-11th May.

The Elvan is looking beautiful, ready to welcome guests for the weekend.

Whether it be, to sit back, admire the beautiful views, to relax and unwind or to pop your hiking boots on, ready to explore and discover all that Dartmoor has to offer. There’s plenty to see and do.

A beautiful afternoon well spent. We hoped to make the most of the beautiful sunshine, so enjoyed a lovely walk up to Shilstone and back through the pretty village of Throwleigh.
It was wonderful to see that our hill sheep have started to lamb. We leave them up on the hill, where they prefer to be, for lambing. Also spotted a Dartmoor Pony, casually grazing up in the rocks.

We have some exciting news to share with you...

We were very fortunate to be asked, to take part in a special project.

Last summer, we had the pleasure of hosting the team from Escape to the Country. They have chosen to feature our beautiful Shepherd's Hut on their program, airing today, Tuesday 11th, on BBC 1 at 3pm.

We're excited to watch and hope that you are too. Let us know what you think 😊

Forever grateful to call this home 🏡

Dartmoor at its very best. We are delighted to finally be able to enjoy some glorious sunshine, long may it last ☀️

A wonderful time to feel that Spring is just around the corner, the flowers are beginning to bloom, the days are brightening and the fields are beginning to brim with beautiful little lambs, our busiest time of year on the farm.

If you'd like to capture a little piece of Dartmoor, why not treat yourself and enjoy a staycation in our Shepherd's Hut.
