🌱🪵 WILDLIFE AREA UPDATE 🌷🪳

Back in Autumn 2025, we took part in a project by Devon Wildlife Trust, as part of the Big Autumn Sow! Here's a little update!

No mowing has allowed a carpet of green to form, with the trees behind becoming more established & different varieties of plants emerging.

We were hoping for a carpet of colour, but with the heat of the Summer it hasn't produced that meadow type feel quite yet. Still, it's providing a sheltered habitat for all kinds of creatures & we'll continue to develop our little nature patch!

On top of that, management have been busy with a little veggie planter of their own. Yummy 😋

Partake in a week of Outdoor Adventure, encompassing activities such as Abseiling, Axe Throwing, Gorge Walking, High Ropes, Paddle Boarding, Rock Climbing & an overnight Expedition out in the wilds of beautiful Dartmoor.

In the lovely town of Okehampton, Devon! Right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Participants will be lodging in one of our fabulous hostels!

Easily accessible by car, but in addition to getting here via road, we are located directly next to Okehampton Train Station for even easier access!

😎🧗🏼‍♂️ DARTMOOR OUTDOOR FESTIVAL 2026 🧗🏼‍♂️😎

** Friday 28th August - Friday 4th September **

This wonderful event brings you a catalogue of adventures to be enjoyed, all across Dartmoor National Park, throughout the week. What a wonderful way to explore the area! 😍

We're hosting the Big Meldon Abseil on Saturday 29th August, with abseil times running throughout the day... the perfect way to top off a glorious summer! Do you dare to dangle beneath the impressive structure that is Meldon Viaduct? It's worth it just for the views... but the adrenalin hit is pretty cool too 💪🏼🤩

🤩 SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES 🤩

If you're feeling adventurous this Summer, here are the weekly sessions we have running at Adventure Okehampton.

Open sessions are for anyone! Groups are made up of mixed individuals. No experience required. Ages 8+ (under 16's require an adult to remain on site).

Open sessions run from 9.30am - 12pm.

Exclusive group activity sessions are where you call the shots! Your own private group & dedicated instructor. You choose the activities, we'll bring the adventure!

Timings of exclusive sessions can be more flexible.
