🤩STAFF TRAINING 2026! 🤩

Back in April, the team re-assembled once again & began getting ready to face whatever the 2026 season has in store! A mixture of some lovely familiar faces & some lovely new ones!

We'll be showing you some of the highlights of staff training over the coming weeks & there's no better way to start than out Weaselling on beautiful Dartmoor.

🤩 ADVENTURE 7 🤩

Once again we are delighted to be able to offer our Adventure 7 Activity Week!

MONDAY 10TH AUGUST - FRIDAY 14th AUGUST 2026!

If your child is currently in Year 7, are of Year 7 age & Home-educated or attend another School within the Okehampton College catchment area AND you live within the parish of Okehampton/Okehampton Hamlets, they may be eligible to receive this fantastic offer!

With the organisational support of Okehampton Rotary Club & funding from Okehampton United Charities, this unforgettable week of activities costs just £50!!

The programme includes:
- Canoeing
- Kayaking
- Raft Building
- Paddleboarding
- Zipwire
- Axe Throwing
- High Ropes
- Climbing Wall
- Grass Sledging
- Cycling
- Gorge Scrambling
& many more fun challenges!

5 days - 9.30am - 4pm

We started offering the DofE Gold Residential programme last year & it was a natural fit for us. It reflects the same values, experiences, & personal development opportunities that have shaped our activity programmes for the past 25 years.

We believe there is huge value in giving people the opportunity to learn, grow & fully immerse themselves in the outdoors. To meet new people, develop new skills & experience things beyond their everyday environment. After all, not everyone thrives in a classroom setting.

Rock Climbing
Let us take you for a Climbing adventure on the Moors! Real rock, beautiful scenery, good times!

Paddleboarding
Bring your balance & find yourself skimming across the very atmospheric waters of Quarry lake!

Gorge Scrambling
Scramble, slide & jump your way along the Red - a - Ven Brook on Dartmoor!
Sunday 24th or Wednesday 27th May

🐕‍🦺 🪻 EDDIES ADVENTURES 🪻🐕‍🦺

Adventure Okehamptons resident therapy dog, Eddie, has been out adventuring amongst the bluebells & been very mindful to keep to the pathways!

The camera loves him 😍 and so do we!

They're still about if you wanted to capture your own shots or just take in the lovely scenery this weekend. Meldon Woods & East Hill are great places to look!

It's that time of year again! Goodluck to all the teams competing! Wonderful adventure awaits & amazing memories will be made!

If you're in the area supporting the event, we're open all weekend serving our delicious menu (8am - 4pm), with special late opening on Saturday for all your sustenance needs!

We're the last Cafe you'll pass on the way up Tors Road, onto the Moors & the first you'll get to on the way back down! Opposite Okehampton Train Station. Free parking for customers!

💛 DofE GOLD RESIDENTIALS 💛

Here are the dates for our Gold DofE Residential courses this year! A week of fun, new experiences, new friends & all with the backdrop of beautiful Dartmoor National Park 🤩

Suitable for ages 16+

🏹🚣‍♂️ Multi-Activity 🧗🚴‍♀️

Partake in a week of Outdoor Adventure, encompassing activities such as Abseiling, Axe Throwing, Gorge Walking, High Ropes, Paddle Boarding, Rock Climbing & an overnight Expedition.

Available dates:

25th - 29th May 2026

24th - 28th August 2026

Participants will be lodging in one of our fabulous hostels, right on the edge of Dartmoor.

In addition to getting here via road, we are located directly next to Okehampton Train Station for even easier access!
