But the reality is that hospitality businesses across the country are under increasing pressure, and many brilliant independent pubs, restaurants and hotels are struggling to keep going.
That’s why we’re supporting the campaign, led by chef and publican Kerridge, calling for a fairer 10% VAT rate for hospitality in the UK.
Many European countries already recognise the value of hospitality and support the sector with lower VAT rates — helping protect jobs, local businesses and the future of the industry.
