Bracken Tor Lodge

Bracken Tor Lodge YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor, has two buildings on the edge of Dartmoor sleeping 74 people. Great for Families, Schools and other groups wanting a meeting venue.

It has a function room and is licensed for weddings. Accommodation in Dartmoor National Park sleeping 77 people in total. Bracken Tor Lodge has 8 rooms sleeping 42 people. Bracken Tor House has 7 rooms sleeping 35 people. The buildings can be hired separately or the entire venue can be hired for sole use. This hostel is ideal for smaller groups such as walking or climbing clubs looking to do some

walking or adventure activities on Dartmoor. It can also accommodate large family gatherings and even wedding celebrations. Companies, Clubs and Associations have used this as a useful meeting venue as there is a separate function room seating between 80 and 120 people depending on the layout (which can be hired separately) with free wifi and parking. Hence its a great place for training events as it's close to the A30, with a mainline railway station with an hourly service from Okehampton to Exeter and it is central within Devon and the SW England. We run First Aid Courses and Navigation courses from this site.

YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor will be reopening on 17th July 2020 on an Exclusive Hire basis. Both Bracken Tor Lodge and Bracken Tor House will be available throughout the summer holidays. Following governmental guidance this is most suitable for families that form a social bubble. Both venues have their own self catering Kitchens and dining/common room areas, as well as independent open space with picnic tables and separate parking areas.

The Lodge is sat within the grounds of Bracken Tor, 4 acres of gardens backing directly onto open moorland, an ideal base for exploring Dartmoor National Park. Thanks to all our customers who have stayed at Bracken Tor Lodge this year. The REST award is partly due to the new Function Room and it's New Solar panels, as well as underfloor heating.
