CAN YOU SPARE AN HOUR OR TWO NOW AND THEN?

The Boarshurst Centre in Greenfield is run by an enthusiastic team of 8 volunteers who make up Saddleworth Outdoor Pursuits Association (SOPA).The charity maintains this lovely old building and rents it out to groups from a broad spectrum: one week there may be a religious group bringing children for a holiday in the countryside, the next a visiting brass band, the next a triathlon club from a university and so on.

With the bookings calendar rapidly filling up and a couple of our long-serving members deservedly taking a less active role, we are looking to expand our team. During the growing season we also have a group who meet to look after our garden. No special skills are required.
