Welcome to Ogham View. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. It's time to unwind and relax.
Let me tell you a little bit about our abode. Ogham View is situated in the beautiful Sperrin Mountains of outstanding beauty on a working farm in the townland of Carnanrancy. The house and farm have been in our family over four generations. This is my family home which I grew up in and love dearly. I still work the family farm and if interested a farm walkabout can be arranged.
We want you to relax and recharge in this beautiful part of the countryside where it is quiet, private and tranquil retreat. You are surrounded by the beauty of nature and a history which goes back thousands of years. The Ogham Stone is 5 mins drive from our location it is the only example of an Ogham Stone inscription in County Tyrone. It is believed to have been a burial marker or commemorative inscription incised on the stone before 500AD.
Close by are Beaghmore Stone Circles or follow the boardwalk to Davagh Forest with it walking / bike trails and along the way find out a little bit about our solar system. You can also visit the OM Centre for more information on the solar system.
We are very centrally located in the heart of Mid Ulster, you can travel to neighboring counties all within one hour (approx) Antrim, Armagh Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Donegal. The main towns Cookstown 13 miles and Omagh 14 miles from our location. Local amenities available within 2 miles are local bar and grocery store with hot food and ATM and Post Office.
Our house can easily sleep 8 people it has mix of traditional, modern décor and character features with scenic views. All towels and linen supplied.
Outside you can dine alfresco, we have a barbeque, patio area where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Relax and enjoy your time in the hot tub or relax in the sauna and let all your stress of the day drain away. Stargaze the famous dark skies with our telescope and create new ideas for your adventures the next day.
