It’s that time of year! A busy period for a chipper!

Check this out, failure to do maintenance could lead to failure in completing a job! 💥

New bearings

Poor maintenance and blunt blades were the exact cause of this damage, when your blade are blunt they don’t glide through wood as they should when sharp! Adding stress to bearings, pulleys and the machine itself!

It’s looking like the weather is on the mend now, hopefully anyway…

Anyway, an increase in air temp will increase your machines running temp so maintenance is VITAL!

Easily missed on a woodchipper I will add, our hire machines can get clogged up after a single days use but thankfully we see these machines in and out daily so they’re always checked.

Back to it after a nice few days off. Hope everyone’s had a great weekend!

Customer dropped a chipper in last week that had been blowing smoke from the engine hood instead of our the exhaust.

Our inspection discovered the exhaust had also worn that much there was holes all down the side and the air filter was blocked and unfortunately couldn’t be salvaged.

New exhaust and new air filter sorted the issue.

Been a while since we’ve been active on here. Our arb service team have been super busy! Chippers, loaders, stump grinders and much more all have been in for scheduled servicing, check overs, and maintenance plans! Here was a handful of stump grinder teeth we had dropped off for a sharpen!
