There’s a rather special story behind the name of our Tree Tops treehouse 🌳
When we began creating Tree Tops, we wanted it to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II and her remarkable connection to Treetops in Kenya.
In 1952, Princess Elizabeth stayed at the famous Treetops in Kenya, a treehouse high amongst the forest canopy. That same night, her father, King George VI, passed away.
Although she didn't hear the news until the following day, the story became part of royal history - she went into the trees as a princess and returned as Queen.
We wanted our own Tree Tops to celebrate that fascinating moment in history and the Queen’s connection to Treetops.
Then, quite unexpectedly, Tree Tops was completed in 2022 - the very year Queen Elizabeth II passed away. So what began as a tribute became, in a poignant way, a double commemoration.
A little piece of royal history, brought to life here at Henlle Hall. 🌿
From one Tree Tops to another, a place amongst the trees where memories are made.
Have you stayed in our Tree Tops yet? If not, who would you bring to stay with you?
