Good evening all!

The Bank Holiday weekend is nearly over and somehow, we’re heading into autumn already!

We have had such a busy summer and are currently enjoying having guests staying for two weeks — especially without the usual Friday changeover this week.

We have also been spoilt with some lovely gifts and, best of all, cupcakes baked by the children. 🧁 They’ve been so thoughtful — and clearly know us very well! 😂

Our calendar is filling up, but we still have:

🍂 One weekend and a couple of midweek stays in October
🍁 Two weeks in November
🎄 December stays, with the cottage decorated for Christmas
🥂 New Year, if you fancy a relaxing break away!

Two weeks in August have already been booked for next summer, so don’t miss out! ☀️

Good evening all! Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. 🌸

Yesterday my friend and I enjoyed a few hours visiting the Flower Belt near Harrogate. It really is such a fabulous place to enjoy a relaxed afternoon — a gorgeous pizza and a glass of wine at the Honey Tap café, followed by a wander through the beautiful wildflower fields and, of course, picking your own flowers. 🌼🍕🍷

It’s such a lovely way to spend a few hours, with plenty of time to relax, enjoy the surroundings and have a good catch-up and a laugh along the way.

If you’re staying with us over the summer, I’d definitely recommend adding the Flower Belt to your list of places to visit. 🌸

Good morning everyone, and happy Friday!

It’s been a little while since I last posted. My day job has been incredibly busy, and we also managed to sneak away for a couple of weeks on holiday, so I’ve been playing catch-up ever since.

The cottage has been back-to-back with bookings too, which has been fantastic, but it hasn’t left much time for social media – in fact, I’m dictating this while out on a run!

The last week of July into August was snapped up, so we’re now fully booked until 28th September.

I thought I’d share a few photos of the garden and summer here at Buryemwick. If you’re thinking about a countryside escape next year, hopefully they’ll give you a little inspiration.

If you’re hoping to enjoy one last break before autumn really arrives, we do have availability from 28th September for 4 nights. If you’d like to book, just get in touch.

Morning dog walks in the Washburn valley are even better on a sunny day!! I don’t think Baxter has noticed his mate behind him 😂🦌 We welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes to Buryemwick. We still have the 8th to the 11th of May available due to a cancellation, so would love to welcome you and your canine companions to come, put your feet up (and paws) 🐾 and have a relaxing weekend!!

Sharing some springtime vibes this evening. I was going to add some music to this reel but decided that the beautiful sound of the birds singing, lambs bleating, the curlew calling (and the occasional clip clipping) was far nicer!! Dora and me see these two hares racing around every morning when we head out. The deer have got so used to us they hardly bother looking up! I absolutely love this time of year when the garden is starting to wake up and those 1000 tulip bulbs you planted decide to make an appearance! We still have a weekend available in May and the cherry blossom is looking fabulous, it’s not to be missed!!
