Today we're shining the spotlight on our lovely Suzanne from Housekeeping

We thought we'd ask her a few questions so you can get to know the friendly faces who work hard behind the scenes to make your stay extra special!

How long have you been part of the Chevin team?
16 years!

What's your favourite thing about working here?
The friendships I've made and the amazing teamwork!

What does a typical day in housekeeping look like?
Busy, busy, busy! Lots of walking – it's definitely a good workout!

What's your favourite part of your job?
The satisfaction of knowing I've done a good job and made everything lovely for our guests.

What's one thing guests might not realise about housekeeping?
Just how much walking we actually do in a day!

What's your secret to making a hotel room feel extra welcoming?
It's all about the little touches – extra amenities, lovely lighting and making sure the room feels warm and cosy.

What's one housekeeping tip everyone should know?
Always make sure the bed looks perfect! It's the first thing you notice when you walk into a room.

If you could stay in any room at the hotel, which would you choose?
Room 1 or 9 in the main hotel, or room 68 outside!

What's your go-to song to get you motivated for the day?
Anything by Amy Winehouse!

Tea or coffee to start your shift?
Tea all the way!

What's one thing you can't live without?
A good handbag!

If you weren't working in housekeeping, what would your dream job be?
I'd love to work in the military police!

What's your favourite way to relax after a busy shift?
Going home, putting my feet up and watching a good old-fashioned movie!

What's a fun fact about you that your colleagues might not know?
I've owned a family business!

Lisa has been part of our team for an amazing 7 years, so we sat down with her for a few quick-fire questions…

Guests being really grateful for my knowledge of the local area and the best walks.
