🍂🍁 Autumn days at Whitelee Holiday Cottages… there's something rather special about this time of year! 🍁🍂

Happy Wednesday from beautiful Northumberland! 💚

As we move further into October, the countryside around Whitelee is putting on a wonderful seasonal display.

🍁 Leaves are turning gorgeous shades of gold, amber and russet.

🍂 The autumn breeze is bringing that lovely crispness to the air.

🌿 Hedgerows are dotted with colourful berries, and the surrounding countryside is slowly preparing for winter.

🐦 And there's always something to catch your eye or ear if you take a moment to stop, look and listen!

Autumn is a wonderful time to escape to Northumberland.

Whether it's wrapping up warm for a countryside walk, exploring the beautiful Northumberland National Park, or returning to the comfort of your cosy cottage after a day of adventures, there's so much to enjoy.

And sometimes, the best moments are the simplest ones… a peaceful morning, a beautiful view and absolutely no need to rush anywhere. ☕🍂

🍂🌿 Slow Down This Sunday… There’s So Much to Notice! 🍄

Sometimes the most beautiful things in nature are the little details we might otherwise walk straight past.

The delicate patterns of lichen clinging to a branch, a shiny conker nestled amongst fallen leaves, the changing colours of autumn foliage and a vibrant red toadstool standing out against the woodland floor. 🍁

Each one a little reminder that nature has so much to offer when we take the time to really look.

Here in beautiful Northumberland, we’re surrounded by opportunities to slow down, wander without rushing and appreciate the subtleties of the natural world.

🌿 Notice the textures.
🍂 Appreciate the changing colours.
👂 Listen to the sounds around you.
🍄 Look a little closer at what nature has created.

You don’t always need a destination or a purpose for a walk. Sometimes simply being outdoors, breathing in the fresh air and noticing what’s around you is enough.

Incredible evening under the stars tonight, found a lush spot in the Northumberland hills which I've never been before , tried a new style to, this is a lens I've not used much as its so wide, the 10mm laowa on my sony A7IV worked an absolute treat , paired alongside the moveshootmove nomad and the kasefilters astro blast filter, cant wait to get back out and try it again.
