🎭 Take to the stage on National Trust Seaton Delaval Hall’s Baroque-inspired travelling theatre. Delve into our giant box of theatrical props and take a twirl to the sounds of the latest pop hits recorded by a string quartet... just like the Delavals would have done!
🧙‍♂️ Go on a quest to find Nelly’s Den at the heart of the NT Cragside Labyrinth, guarded by William the Wizard.
🪵 Stop on the bridge on the River Walk for a game of Pooh sticks at Wallington NT. With two or more players, each find a stick and on the count of three, drop the sticks into the river. The stick that floats under the bridge fastest is the winner.

The August Bank Holiday weekend is here, and we can’t think of many better places to spend it than surrounded by the peace and beauty of the Northumberland countryside. 💚

Whether your perfect long weekend involves pulling on your walking boots and heading out to explore, enjoying a leisurely morning coffee with a countryside view, spotting some of our wonderful local wildlife, or simply curling up and enjoying the peace and quiet… this is what Bank Holiday weekends were made for.

The August Bank Holiday weekend is almost here, and what better excuse to slow things down, switch off from the everyday and enjoy a little extra time doing the things you love? 💚

You helped unlock £100,000. Now the momentum is building for The Rothbury Estate 🎉

The response to our August match appeal has been extraordinary. Thanks to supporters like you, we reached our original £100,000 match fund in just seven days.

Inspired by this incredible show of support, a generous donor has now pledged a further £500,000 in match funding, extending the appeal until 30 September.

That means every donation will be doubled as we work to raise £1.2 million and secure The Rothbury Estate before it's too late.

This rare Northumberland landscape is still at risk of being sold off and divided, but together we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to protect it for wildlife, people and future generations.
