🔥 BBQ 0.1 IS LIVE 🔥

The first version of the new outdoor BBQ setup at The Waggon & Horses is officially ready for testing. 🍖🍔🌭

Join/support us on the journey — burgers and sausages are on in V0.1, with just over a month to go until Oxenhope Straw Race.

This is still very much a work in progress: a rough first build using reclaimed Yorkshire stone and whatever materials we could get our hands on. The aim is to gradually evolve it into a proper rustic country-style outdoor cooking area featuring:

Built-in BBQ
Spit roasting
Pizza oven
Landscaping
More seating & prep areas
Plenty more Yorkshire stonework

Already learned a lot from Version 0.1, and there’ll definitely be a rebuild or two as the project develops 😂

Main thing now:
👉 We’re going to need A LOT more Yorkshire stone to finish the vision properly.

Construction criticism is welcome — especially if it comes with sweat work, spare stone, or BBQ skills. 🪨🍻🔥

Despite the cryptic signage, confusing cones, and enough roadworks to test a Yorkshireman’s patience — THE ROAD IS OPEN. 🍻

Sunday Roasts are being served as normal, the gravy’s flowing, and there’s even a scattering of sunshine on the moors today. ☀️

What a rollercoaster of a week… now it’s Sunday.

Sun’s gone missing (standard), but honestly — who needs it when there’s a proper roast, fresh homemade Yorkshire puds, and not a single dish to wash after?

That’ll do nicely.
