Oxfordbnb Our ‘b & b’ offers quality, friendly & good value accommodation in Oxford; our guests from all over the world include tourist, academics & business people.

Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation is separate from, but within a family home. We offer well-presented bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms. We, the proprietors, are available to help on local information if needed. Enjoy a substantial continental breakfast when it suites you (from early morning to mid-day; it's up to you!). Our guest breakfast room can also be used at other times to enjoy your

own ready meals. We endeavour to meet your needs to ensure a pleasant stay. Located, near but not on a main road, 2.5 miles south of Oxford city centre, set in an urban environment but within minutes of the historic Bagley Wood and the iconic River Thames. A bus service running every 15 minutes is only 3 minutes walk from our b&b, and will take you to the city centre in 15 minutes. Off street parking is available. We are only a short distance from the River Thames and a pleasant walk to the centre of Oxford.

At long last Oxford is opening up (12th April 2021) – Bravo!!
“Onward and Upward! To Narnia and the North!” (CS Lewis)
Magdalen College - the road to Oxford (& Narnia?)

Come and joint the re-opening of Oxford! Yes, it is still quiet still but that may be an experience never to be repeated.
Famous for many good reasons including the vaccine.
The following is a flavour of what will be open from 12th April:
• Outdoor street ‘pedestrianized’ dining areas in the centre of Oxford City – including in Cornmarket Street, St Michael’s Street, Broad Street, Dawson Street, Observatory Street and North Parade Avenue, plus a number of individual areas on wider pavements.
• The Thames Path – great walk from Oxfordbnb to Oxford.
• University Parks.
• Botanic Gardens & Harcourt Arboretum.
• Wytham & Bagley Woods (a carpet of bluebells).
• Walking Tours – better to book in advance.
• Punting – although a bit chilly at the moment.
• The Covered Market – full of old fashioned charm.
• Westgate Oxford – glitzy shopping centre.
College gardens we hope will start to reopen in the near future (some say Magdalen College gardens are already open) as will all of Oxford’s 1000 years of history.
It’s going to be FUN. Come, join the experience!!!

Ashmolean Museum – reopens 10th August 2020.
Oxford continues on the path to normality – slow but steady.
Great to see the Ashmolean open again with its YOUNG REMBRANDT exhibition.
“Packed with both unfamiliar curiosities and rarely loaned glories” as quoted by: The Financial Times.
And don’t forget a stroll along the Thames to get there, and some retail therapy (?) to follow.

Covid-19. Update on what we are doing to keep you, and us, as safe as practical🙂:
We are a small B&B focused on offering, given present restrictions, enjoyable stays. Hence for the coming weeks (under continual review for how long) we are limiting availability.
To ensure all is clear please phone/email us prior to making a booking. Our plan, for the time being, is to offer up to 2 rooms for online bookings. Sole occupancy is also possible (by arrangement - call or email us) when your booking will be the only booking during your stay. For a group/family booking, up to 3 rooms are available (book by email/phone). Maximum 6 guests.
We, the owners and managers of our B&B, are proactive in ensuring social distancing is practised, face masks are used if required, and all areas are regularly sanitized.
We also offer free cancellation if you book & have to cancel due to Covid-19 issues (applies to direct bookings only not OTA bookings). Go to our website: (http://www.oxfordbnb.com/) for full details.
AND LET'S NOT FORGET WHAT AN OXFORD VISIT IS REALLY ALL ABOUT:
