A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US ❤️

Our advertised Soft Opening, 21st–26th August, has now come to an end, and if these first few days have taught us anything, it’s just how much we still have to learn.

It has been a very long journey to get here, from ripping out the old kitchen and starting again, digging up floors, putting our team together and finally opening our doors. There were many moments when we wondered how we were ever going to get here.

And now we are here.

But opening our doors has taught us that getting a restaurant ready to open and getting it running exactly as it should are two very different things.

There are things we’re incredibly proud of, and there are things we know we can do better.

We know we’re new and our team is still learning, but our guests are choosing to spend their time and money with us, sometimes travelling quite a distance to visit. You come with expectations, quite rightly, and where we haven’t met them, that’s for us to improve.

What has genuinely overwhelmed us is the kindness we’ve received. Our inbox has been filled with thoughtful messages sharing what went well, what didn’t feel quite right, and what we could do better. Some of you have even shared your own hospitality experience and advice, while others have told us you’ve been quietly following our journey from the very beginning.

That means more to us than we can put into words.
So although our Soft Opening has officially finished, we’re continuing into an Opening Period while we refine our service, improve our systems and find our rhythm.

From 27th August, we’ll be offering 10% off dine-in food bills throughout this Opening Period. ❤️

For the time being, we’ll be focusing on dine-in only, and we recommend reserving your table via WhatsApp so we can manage each service carefully while we continue to settle in.

During our soft opening, we’ll be operating with limited tables and by reservation only, giving our new team a little time to settle into service and allowing us to make sure everything is running as it should before our full opening.

Ground Conditions Update: Unfortunately the Hop Farm Campsite has had to place a temporary ban on firepits, open wood fires and non-gas BBQ's. The fields and woodlands are currently susceptible to wild fires. Raised BBQ's that are gas powered are permitted, due to limited spark risk. Until we have a sustained period of rainfall, the ban will unfortunately remain in place. To find out when the ban might be lifted, please email [email protected]
