It’s a waiting game ….
Very soon the pregnant females in our deer herd will be retiring to sheltered corners of the deer park to give birth.
Jim, the man who looks after the herd, has created a nursery for the babies - a protected area of fresh grass for the little ones to eat, before they join the main herd. He tells us that he’s expecting quite a few sets of twins to be born this year.
Not long now - we’ll just have to wait and see!
