Trevose Golf & Country Club team members Harry Gwinnell, Jack Ivamy and Harry Durnall, represent Cornwall in the finals of the Junior Club Team Championship taking place at England Golf HQ, Woodhall Spa. The competition is played over two days and we wish the three boys well.

12 AUGUST. TREVOSE UNDER A DARKENING SUN. 🌑

There are evenings when the Cornish coast feels a little different.

On 12 August, the Moon will pass across the Sun, turning an ordinary summer evening at Trevose into something rather extraordinary.

As the afternoon slips into evening, the light will begin to change. The Atlantic will darken. Shadows will soften. And for a few moments, almost all of the Sun will disappear behind the Moon.

From Cornwall, around 95% of the Sun will be covered at the height of the eclipse.

☀️ Peak: around 7:16pm
🌑 Eclipse ends: around 8:10pm

So find your favourite spot, look west, and give yourself time to watch it unfold.

No plans.
No rush.
Just the sea, the sky and one of nature’s great spectacles.
