We've just had a taste of spring with the warmer weather last week and we are approaching the equilux - an equal amount of daylight and night. After the winter, it is time to think about the warmer and lighter part of the year and trips away.

Our beach base lodge is the perfect place for you to base your self and explore Cornwall on your next get away.

The county is blessed with a magnificent coastline with numerous beaches to walk along, surf off and drink in from the cliff tops.

Our beach base lodge has been set up to provide you with a home from home. There is a master ensuite bedroom with walk in wardrobe, a second bedroom with a wardrobe with a bathroom opposite across the corridor. The kitchen, dinning area and lounge is open plan with a gas hob, electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave oven and television. We have provided soap, cleaning products, toilet paper, laundry liquid and conditioner so you can start your holiday ready to go on arrival.

Somethings change and somethings stay the same. With the prevailing winds and Atlantic current, surfing in Cornwall, whatever the month is almost always possible. The waves keep crashing into the beaches and bays providing beach and point breaks for beginners to advanced surfers.

The North Cornish coast boasts not only some of the best surfing in Cornwall but also across the UK. From Polzeath Beach just north of the Camel Estuary to Trevone Bay, Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay, Treyarnon Bay & Porthcothan Beach south of the river, there are plenty of places for you to pick up some waves. A little further south is the grand expanse of Watergate Bay & just beyond the world class breaks at the Newquay town beaches including Fistral.

Our beach base lodge is 20-30 minutes drive from Polzeath Beach and 5-10 minutes drive from the rest of the bays and beaches referred to above.

The lodge is a home from home with plenty of space throughout. We provide little extras to allow you to be well set on arrival and get straight to the beach. Be comfortable when inside the accommodation but also well set geographically for surfing in Cornwall at our Beach Base Lodge.

The autumn conditions in Cornwall continue to provide an end of year bonus for anyone who surfs. Those storms off the south-west coast of the USA are generating a series of swells that are delighting surfers along the north Cornish coast.

Our lodge is in a perfect location for you to access those bays from the town beaches in Newquay 8 miles south, to Watergate Bay, a little closer, the famous Seven Bays all within 10 mins drive of our lodge and Polzeath Bay, 30 mins drive to the north.

We think our Beach Base Lodge is amazing. It's situated in lovely St. Merryn, which is very close to the famous 7 Bays of North Cornwall - Trevone; Harlyn; Mother Ivy's; Bobby's Bay; Constantine; Treyarnon and Porthcothan.

The lodge is fitted out to a high standard including the mattresses, bed sheets and towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one could need for a holiday. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a walk in wardrobe. The second bedroom has a double bed, a fitted wardrobe and there is a second bathroom opposite it.

We have worked hard to keep the lodge in very good upkeep and we have added little extras including cleaning products, toilet paper and hand soap so you have everything you need (except food) on arrival.

We have gone for products that are environmentally sound and have done independent research into their green credentials.

Welcome to the page for our Beach Base Lodge in Cornwall. Perfect for enjoying the stunning North Cornish coast including the famous Seven Bays and the rest of the county.

Beach Base Lodge is situated on St. Merryn Park, less than a mile from the village of St. Merryn and around 3.5 miles from Padstow. The closest beach is around 2.5 miles away.

Beach Base Lodge has two double bed bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite off the main bedroom), a walk in wardrobe (off the main bedroom) and an open plan kitchen and lounge. There is a decking area with a table and chairs at the back of the lodge in the back garden.
