Today marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

A beautiful tribute to the troops that carried out the D-Day landings by Harry Maddox and Stephen Rolfe, an excerpt from 'The Shores of Normandy' etched into the sands on Tregirls Beach in Padstow.

A thoughtful accolade to the 4,400 troops that died with some 9,000 being wounded or missing.

Happy Earth Day Folks 🌍

is an event to demonstrate support for environmental protection and we wanted to share with you a few facts and how we support this important agenda...

1. All lights throughout No.4 Padstow are LEDs reducing greenhouse gasses by 80% compared to incandescent bulbs💡

2. All appliances are rated 'A' meaning they are the most energy efficient 🍽

3. All materials used to build No.4 Padstow were from sustainable sources 🪵

4. The boiler is brand new and highly efficient with a top rated tank, we purposely chose not to use a combi boiler to ensure no wasted energy during low season💧

5. The heating and water is managed by Active Heating allowing us to manage the property remotely when unoccupied ♨️

6. All rubbish including old appliances, cardboard, plastic, and wood removed from the property were recycled where possible 🏗

7. We have employed an independent company to properly recycle guests waste and have identified this clearly throughout the property ♻️

8. We have a herb garden for all guests to enjoy including lemon basil, thyme, rosemary and chives 🌱

- We also do our part each time we visit padstow and regularly litter pick especially removing plastics before they enter the seas 🌊

- We spread wildflower seeds to encourage pollinators and birds 🐝

- We purchase eco-friendly cleaning products to reduce the amount of chemicals entering our water system 🧴

- We also now use a fully electric vehicle when visiting Padstow which was bought in replacement of a diesel ⛽

So be assured, you'll be staying in a property that does its best, and is owned by people who care. 🌍
