A word of warning - if you're heading to a beach, keep an eye out for these Portuguese men o' war. They are washing up in Cornwall in unprecedented numbers at the moment and have been spotted in Wales too. It's a privilege to see these rare and beautiful creatures which look a bit like deflated balloons but their long tentacles can cause painful stings and can be fatal in extremely rare cases according to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Look but don't touch!
