A great night to be at Meadow Farm Camping
Don’t miss one of the year’s most anticipated sky shows! On August 12, the Perseid meteor shower will reach its peak, lighting up the night with a brilliant flurry of shooting stars.
Known for its reliability and spectacular rates, the Perseids can produce 60 to 100 meteors per hour under dark, clear skies each one a tiny grain of comet dust burning up in Earth’s atmosphere.
For the best view, head to a spot away from city lights, give your eyes time to adjust, and look up after midnight when the constellation Perseus climbs higher. The meteors will streak across the sky, many leaving long, glowing trails sometimes even with bright fireballs for an extra thrill.
No telescope needed just bring a blanket, a sense of wonder, and enjoy one of nature’s most magical cosmic displays.
