We have three 4 star, self-catering cottages sympathetically converted from a Victorian stone barn and overlooking a large grassed courtyard.

Voley Farm Holiday Cottages are set in 47 acres of farmland and ancient woodland, 2 miles from the beautiful village of Parracombe and only three miles from the sea at Heddon’s Mouth. They are perfect for short breaks or longer stays, from just 2 people to a large group. Occasional farmhouse bed and breakfast is available on request. Two cottages have three bedrooms and the third has two bedrooms;

they have all been refurbished this year. Outside of the school holidays peak season we are happy to consider letting for short breaks and to discuss special rates for couples. Dogs are accepted in two of the three cottages. The farm is only a short car ride from the stunning North Devon Coast, the dramatic South-West Coast Path; the impressive surf beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde are 30 minutes away. Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, Lynton and Lynmouth are all no more than 15 minutes away. There is an enormous range of holiday activities for all ages and tastes, and footpaths lead from the farm to the moors and to the sea. We share our home with foxes, badgers, deer, buzzards, bats, swallows and too many other birds to list; we are sited in a hidden valley at the end of a private unmade lane, which means children are safe and unbothered by traffic. Our animals are delightful and love our visitors - Effie the Chicken with Attitude insists she is the star of our show. We have a safe, fenced play area for smaller children, and a large games room equipped with table tennis, childrens billiards, croquet, badminton, skittles and many more games. The farm is in a perfect position for those seeking a quiet, relaxing break or one packed with leisure activities.

Not the best photo but today dearest Danni found this little chap in the road. He’s tiny (130g), caked in mud and had flies and ticks, but seems relatively well. The wisteria is breath-taking, groaning with flower and alive with buzzing. I hope you can hear the buzzy things, but the recording is, as ever, drowned by the rooks. And our Lenny’s had his annual poodle parlour visit. He looks and smells gorgeous (to us), but he hates himself.

What a lovely day. Quick trip to Woolacombe to visit our, now former, landlady in her fabulous new home. Then our darling newbie Lenny had his first beach trip. One exhausted pup and an amazing sunset. Is summer coming????
