Well, Bed and Breakfast is not going to happen for a while!
However one day we will be advertising our two on suite rooms in our delightfully sunny home in a conservation area, surrounded by fields with sheep on one side, horses on the other and behindus in the amang Somerset Coal Canal Basins there are bullocks, swans, moorhens, ducks, herons and Pool frogs!
There are level walks off road walks in all directions from the house. No need to get in the car.
We are at the end of a public footpath lane, so no traffic The Cam Brook runs along the boundary of our land with the SCC basin field. All through the summer, it sparkles with dappled light. In the winter, after heavy rain, it converts to white water rafting speed. Wonderfully dramatic.
We have a couple of acres of garden (paddocks) with about 40 fruit trees. There are untamed areas as well as lawns. The house is south facing and very sunny.
There is an Iron Foundry next door which we have rebuilt from derelict as a huge upstairs artists studio. This was originally built in 1810 as one of the first foundries in the country. It was in ruins when we bought the property 10 years ago.
The studio is great for family parties, retreats, courses and a perfectly self contained retreat. The studio has a weekly art group of 12 'he Engine Room Arts Group' and is used annually to host up to 4 artists as part of the Cam Valley Arts Trail (which will be virtual this November).
