We were delighted to welcome these lovely guests all the way from the Netherlands, travelling in style in their beautiful Aston Martin DB6.

Their Scottish adventure is just beginning as they set off to tackle the iconic North Coast 500, taking in some of the most spectacular scenery the Highlands have to offer.

There’s something truly special about seeing a classic British grand tourer parked in front of our historic house before heading north on one of the world’s greatest driving routes.

We wish them safe travels, unforgettable memories, and plenty of open roads ahead. Enjoy every mile of the NC500! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

“I’d give him 10 stars.”

Linda and Norm travelled 17 hours to reach the Tweed Valley, trusted Cringletie, Peebles recommendation (thank you!) and put their first adventure in the south of Scotland in my hands.

I shaped three days around their energy and expectations and to be called "kind, flexible, passionate, a good fellow" and a "Scottish gem" is just amazing.

I keep repeating this but I think it is true - It is genuinely difficult to get people to choose the Borders. Most visitors land in Edinburgh and instinctively point the compass north west, that's just the reality of it.

So when someone does take a chance on the Scottish Borders, I believe the experience has to be exceptional and delivered with real pride, so I am determined to keep offering that!

“We stayed on a gorgeous baronial estate called Cringletie. I love staying in old historical places and Cringletie has managed to keep the history and character while also making it a lovely luxury stay. My husband ended up reading a book to me that we found on the bookshelf, with the wind blowing and the sound of the stream. There’s also all these hiking trails and woodland. I probably could have stayed two more days because it was incredibly peaceful.”
