This traditional Welsh coaching inn has welcomed weary travellers since the 16th century and continues to be a bolt-hole in which to refuel and recuperate. The hotel has been owned by the Wheeler family since the 1950's. The deeds of the hotel date to 1522, which means that we are nearing our 500th anniversary! The restaurant and bars serve meals lunchtime (12-2)& evenings (6.30-9.15). The bar has gained an inclusion in the Good Beer Guide 2007 with 4 cask ales to choose from.

We've hosted some fantastic musicians from all over the world and have some incredible acts lined up. These are seated concerts in the fantastic Georgian Lounge of the hotel.
