Two weeks of wonderful autumn walks left before we close our gates for this season!

We're so lucky to have the woodlands of the Stackpole Estate on our doorstep.

This morning's dog walk was just gorgeous, bursting with colour, and the most pick-up-able autumn treasure of them all - chestnuts! If you can walk past the first conker or sweet chestnut of the season without picking it up, you're a wrong'un! 😂

Come and camp with us in this quiet season and enjoy the loveliness of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to yourselves!

Either we have the most creative young campers, or otherwise the act of sleeping under the stars brings out the creativity in our campsite kids!

These are just a few of the thank-yous we've been treated to this camping season!

From a hand-drawn mind-map of 20 things a little girl was grateful for, to a bracelet handmade by a teenager in her tent, we've been regularly surprised and SO chuffed!

Thank you, for all of your thank-yous, in all of their many and varied forms, we really appreciate them, and you!

A Church Rock sunrise seems appropriate for a Sunday morning! Such a special place to start your day, and just a 10-minute drive - or an hour's peaceful walk - from our campsite.

We will be closed from this evening until next Sunday evening (Sept 27th) for a breather and to start taking down our yurts and safari tents.

Camping, and luxury pod glamping, reopen on Sunday 27th September, and it's the perfect time of year to have the beach to yourselves as we did this morning. 🤎

Just around the corner from Stackpole Under The Stars, we've watched a mummy moorhen build and embellish her nest for her babies this summer.

A natural delight that comes as a privilege of being so close to the beautiful National Nature Reserve of Bosherston Lily Ponds - you can walk to this exact spot from your camping pitch in half an hour.

Autumn is loving us here at Stackpole Under The Stars, where we have acres of National Trust woodland literally outside the door.

Stackpole Cheriton Woods, part of the Stackpole Estate, is a 5-minute walk from the campsite and offers a perfect sanctuary away from all noise except birdsong, twig-snapping and maybe the odd raindrop.

Camping in autumn. Blissful.

Willing everyone taking part in today's Ironman Wales to reach the finish line in spite of the weather and whatever personal challenges they face.

These phenomenal athletes impress us more every year as they cycle past our campsite lane on their 112-mile bike ride through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. By this time, they've already completed a 2.4-mile sea swim in Tenby, and just have a marathon to complete before the clock runs out at midnight!

Even in our glamping accommodation. And we love them, so there's no extra charge.

Barafundle Bay after the crowds have gone... even on a sunless dusk, it's still the most beautiful beach around. To have it to yourself takes it a level up.

And we are lucky enough to call this beach our local. You can even walk there from the campsite, it's a picturesque hour's amble through Stackpole Estate woodlands and around Bosherston Lily Ponds.

The sun setting on our school summer holiday season - what an extraordinary summer for camping it has been!

A huge thank you to all our summer guests for making it so memorable and enjoyable for US! We hope it has felt the same for you!

We remain open for camping, and for our luxury glamping pod, until the morning of Sunday October 18th (with a week closed from September 21st to 27th). We close for yurt and safari tent glamping on September 20th.
