🔥 Mindset Monday

I’ve realised something about myself recently…

I’m very good at doing more 💪🏼

More work. More training. Another goal. Another project.

What I’m not always as good at is knowing when enough is enough

Finishing work when the day’s done. Taking the rest day when your body needs it. Saying no to something that doesn’t matter. Putting the phone down and actually being where I am

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always love chasing goals. I don’t think that’s ever leaving me…

But I don’t need more drive. I’ve got plenty

What I need is to get better at deciding where that drive goes

It got me thinking…

If you’re always chasing the next thing, you can miss the life you’re working so hard to build

Maybe success isn’t doing more

Maybe it’s doing the right things and knowing when to stop

So what’s harder for you: getting going, or knowing when to stop??

Have a great week 🔥

More is possible. 💪🏼

The deck features premium-grade 33mm thick timber deck boards, traditional timber spindle-style balustrades, and our bespoke Lakes Decking gas-safe vented skirting system, with access doors installed where required.

🔥 Mindset Monday

Yesterday was Cumbrian Run day.

Months of training, weeks off football to protect my legs and everything built towards that start line…

And my heel said no 😢

Gutted? Absolutely.

For about half an hour 😆

Then it got me thinking…

I could sit there feeling sorry for myself about something I couldn’t change.

Or I could take the learn and crack on.

So physio is booked today. Get the heel sorted and if it heals in time, there’s the Lancaster half marathon in 4 weeks 💪🏼

You can’t control every event or how you feel when something goes wrong…

But you can control how you respond - and that shapes what happens next 😉

Business, fitness, life…it doesn’t always go to plan.

Be gutted. Be frustrated. Feel it.

Then ask yourself one question:

What can I do about it now?

Make the next decision & move forward 💥

What’s something that didn’t go to plan for you recently - and what did you do next?

Have a great week! 🔥

More is possible 💪🏼

🌿 Another busy week at Lakes Decking! 🌿

We’ve had another great week completing two bespoke decking installations at Waterfoot and Lowfellgate. 🏡✨

Both decks feature Trex composite decking in Calm Water Grey, complemented beautifully with traditional timber spindle balustrades and timber skirting.

One of the installations has also been finished with grey-tinted glass to the front, adding a stylish modern touch while still keeping the traditional look. ✨

We think both look fantastic and really show how you can combine different materials to create a bespoke finish that suits each lodge perfectly.

A big thank you to our customers for choosing Lakes Decking!

✨ Another fantastic installation completed at Whitbarrow Holiday Village! 🌿

This time, we’ve added a beautiful bespoke deck to one of their stunning lodges, finished off with elegant glass balustrades to really make the most of the views. 🏡✨

The Lakes Decking team worked hard to bring this one together, creating a fantastic outdoor space that complements the lodge perfectly.

Another one completed, and another very happy customer! 💚

🔥 Mindset Monday

Last week I admitted I struggle to switch off CEO Tony and turn up as Dad Tony

The response was brilliant. Turns out plenty of you are struggling with the same thing

It got me thinking…

Knowing something needs to change is the easy bit

Actually changing it is the hard bit

I can say family comes first all day long. But if I’m sat on the sofa with my phone in my hand, mind still on a job, I’m not really there, am I?

So I’m keeping it simple…

At Work? Work
At Home? Be home.

Phone down. Day finished. Tomorrow’s problems will still be there tomorrow

There’ll always be another email, another fire to put out, another target to chase

But my kids will only be this age once ❤️

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not losing any ambition

I’m just learning that building the future shouldn’t cost me today

Have a great week 🔥

More is possible 💪🏼
