They're all stylishly decorated, sleep two people and are all dog friendly! So an ideal peaceful retreat as a couple with your furry friend in tow.

The Settle Carlisle Railway CRP is one of the most scenic railway journeys in England. Travel through the Eden Valley and Yorkshire Dales – the 72 miles between Settle and Carlisle includes 14 tunnels and over 20 viaducts, including the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.

Their free ‘Grand Days Out’ guides have a variety of short walks and suggestions of things to do and see at stations along the famous railway line.

Thinking of getting on your bike this Summer? We have some great cycle routes in Eden to enjoy. One long distance ride is the Lakes and Dales Loop - a 196 mile (315km) cycle route taking in two National Parks and some of the most scenic landscapes across Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales.

The suggested start and finish point at Penrith and the route uses quieter lanes, following the boundary of the Lake District National Park on its north, west and south sides. It then completes the loop by linking the Lune and Eden Valleys to the east, and passing through into the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
