A LITTLE UPDATE FROM THE OLD VICTORIA ❤️
We wanted to share a little update with all our lovely customers.
After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the kitchen at The Old Victoria for the time being.
This Sunday will be our final Sunday Carvery at the Vic, and we’d absolutely love to see as many of you as possible join us for one last Sunday dinner. 🍽️❤️
We also want to say a few words about Joe, our chef.
Joe has put so much into the Vic kitchen, and we really can’t thank him enough. Anyone who knows Joe knows how much pride he takes in his food and just how hard he works behind the scenes to make sure everything is right.
He’s given us his time, his energy and plenty of long days in that kitchen, and he’s always cared about making sure our customers leave happy and well fed!
On a personal level, we just want to say thank you, Joe. Thank you for sticking with us, for all the hard graft, for caring about what you do and for everything you’ve brought to the Vic. We’ve genuinely appreciated it more than you probably realise, and we hope you know how grateful we are. ❤️
And, of course, a huge thank you to everyone who has eaten with us, supported the kitchen and joined us for our Sunday carveries. Your support has meant a great deal to us.
🍺 The bar at The Old Victoria is completely unaffected and will remain open as usual.
We’re still here! The drinks will still be flowing, the familiar faces will still be behind the bar, and you’ll still get the same warm Old Victoria welcome whenever you pop in.
And while one chapter is coming to an end, another is growing…
🍴 We’ll now be putting our energy into growing and developing the food offering at The General James Wolfe, bringing in more choice, new ideas and plenty more to come. We’re excited about what we can build there and hope lots of our Vic customers will come along and enjoy it with us.
But before that, we’ve got one more Sunday together.
Come and join us for our final Old Victoria carvery this Sunday, enjoy one last plate from Joe’s kitchen and help us give him and the kitchen the send-off they deserve. ❤️
