Welcome to Winter Crag Farmhouse. We offer accommodation for up to 6 guests in the Lake District National Park.

We are based in the beautiful hidden gem of a valley - Maritndale.

Traditional , cosy and simple accommodation based in the heart of Martindale valley . The autumn colours are stunning and the Red Stags are just starting to roar for rutting season.

It’s the oldest herd of Red Deer in the UK. 🦌

Lots of walks on the doorstep , you can tick lots of wainrights off ! Dog friendly and allow two dogs 🐾🐾

£350 for a Three night break
£250 for a two night break
Based on two sharing.

We will be closing our doors to guests as of November this year, there are several nights available in September and October for any final visits !

We've just had our cobblestones pressure washed, don't they look smart!

It's almost deer rutting time in Martindale 🦌🍂
We are the prefect base to come and see them in action and hear the roars echo around the valley.

Sheepdog herding holiday with your own dog, one on one lessons and training time.

Sheepdog experience days , where you can see my dogs working and have a go yourself!

De sheeping lessons, to give your dog manners around livestock and train them not to chase!
