Rock cottage is a four bedroomed, pet friendly traditional sandstone cottage.

We managed to squeeze in some time at Rock Cottage between guests this year. There is NO place like the Lake District in the sunshine. Plenty of places visited including Penrith and Keswick. Buttermere, Derwent Water and the largest temperate rainforest in England.

About half an hour after I decided I fancied a paddle, I was on Ullswater. We are truly blessed with a great location.

This is our neigh-bour, Jeff.
We’ve been pals since I first fed him apples at the back fence.
Jeff can reach the apples on our tree. He also has a large pile next to him.
Jeff insists that I stop clearing the garden and hand feed him today.
10/10 would let Jeff distract me again 😁

The first thing she does when we arrive is check if her friends are at the back fence. And when they see her, even from across the paddock, they come trotting over to welcome her back ☺️

Christmas is available! Due to a cancellation we are able to offer 23rd to 26th December to guests who would like to like to celebrate Christmas in our beautiful 200 year old stone cottage. Current price on Sykes is £1362. Please see the link to book

The cottage sleeps 8 people and we’ve no limit’s on pet numbers so it’s the perfect place for a Christmas family reunion. Our log fire and sheltered hot tub will keep you warm whatever the weather. We’re on the doorstep of some of the country’s most beautiful places.

We’ve not many spaces left for the summer but a few nights in August have just opened up. Come and spend some time in our beautiful cottage in the aptly named Eden Valley. There’s so much do do nearby and we’re on the doorstep of the northern Lake District.

We’ve been a little quiet on social media recently. It’s certainly getting busier as the weather is getting warmer.
