I wanted to let everyone know that, very sadly, we have had to sell Low Hall. The good news is that the new owners will be continuing on with B&B, they have taken over our website so they will be easy to find.

I will be starting a new B&B in Allendale, Northumberland, this time in a Georgian Town House. I will be closing this page in the next few days and will set up a new one for Hotspur House later in the year.

Thank you to every one of our lovely guests, we have met some amazing folks and made some good friends over the last five years. Thank you all for your support, Liz McQuillen.

It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas....Katie's put her new Christmas card designs in the shelter. They look fab. There's still a box too with ordinary greeting cards in....

Please share and hopefully we can get this girl back to her home.

Looks like she was stolen, possibly from the Leinster Area and was found in Mallow, Co Cork.

Following a report from Dublin that dogs had been stolen, an operation was put in place in Mallow yesterday. Two cocker spaniel dogs were recovered and seized by Gardai. Both dogs were scanned and one dog was positively identified and returned to owner. The second dog was not microchipped and we are trying to get her home.

No arrests have been made but Gardaì are following a definite line of enquiry.

She is currently been cared for in a local guards home and the owner should contact Mallow Garda Station on (022) 31450.

After the news about b&B's yesterday we are delighted to be able to reopen, which is currently planned for 7th July. We are working through the guidelines and putting Covid protection measures in place at Low Hall as far as we are able. We are looking forward to getting back to work! More updates to follow soon.

I endorse this message for now. We are all very keen to reopen, but it needs to be done safely - for the sake of all of us.

The Govt. have announced changes to lockdown restrictions from tomorrow (Wednesday 13th). We know that it will be tempting to get in your car and come to Keswick and we really, really are looking forward to welcoming visitors back BUT could we ask that you wait just a little while longer? If you do arrive here you will find that everything is still closed including some car parks and public toilets so it won't make for much of a day out. Cumbria has one of the highest incidences of Coronavirus per head of population in the country, we have many elderly and vulnerable residents, our NHS is really only designed to cope with it's resident population and many of our Mountain Rescue team members are key workers who are needed on the frontline right now. If all goes well, by June, some of our businesses will safely be allowed to open again and we will have put things in place to ensure that both residents and visitors are protected, as best they can be, from this awful virus. We will keep you up to date with where we are at with that. Thank you for all of your kind words of support over the past weeks and for staying at home and saving lives.
