Had as lovely Christmas Day walk today up Souther Fell, looking down on Blakebeck Farm.
I would like to wish all my customers old and new a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Amongst the spectacular autumn colours, there has been some stunning rainbows.
Always something to enjoy, even when there are grey skies.

We have an incredible amount of wonderful things happening with the nature which lives here at Blakebeck Farm.
The woodpecker is constantly finding food for her two hungry young ones. The hare family is for ever growing and delighting the guests as they keep the lawns trimmed in the gardens.
The bees have kept me busy collecting swarms, one high up in the top of a conifer tree. Hoping for plenty of honey for us to enjoy later in the summer.

A beautiful spotted flycatcher has joined us this spring to raise a family. We have a great variety of birds but this one is a bonus especially when nesting close by.

Maeve is enjoying Otto and Ivan’s company. They have settled in well and love loads of attention.
