One of the things I really enjoy is book recommendations from guests. Yes often we are reading or have read similar books. So above are a selection of the 57 books I read in 2025. 
I was recommended Sarah Winmans books by a guest which I enjoyed immensely and will add her to my favourite authors. 

I attended a local writers book launch M W Craven and his latest Poe and Tilly adventure 'final Vow'  he's a great writer and gives you some historical and cultural information about this area.  At this event I was recommended to read L J Ross's books with inspector Ryan which is about the north East. Again giving you some cultural and historical information while being a great read.  I'm trying to include some classics 'east of Eden' by John Steinbeck and Stoner by John Williams.  I will try and post some of my reviews on here and invite comments and recommendations from you. 📚
