Beautiful View to the rear of Glendale Guesthouse

We are so fortunate to have gorgeous and relaxing views to both the front and rear of our beautiful Victorian property and to the rear we have a fascinating mix of splendid and peaceful views but also wonderfully historic and captivating too.

At the rear we directly overlook the wonderful grounds and building of Christ Church this small but breath-taking church is perfectly formed grade II listed building opened in 1850 built by Joseph Mawson of Penrith it features and early English Perpendicular gothic character and has a wonderful and interesting collection of stained-glass including work associated with well known makers such as Powell of Whitefriars and William Wailes.

Interesting fact the burial vaults where originally sold for £10 each between 1849-1850 to raise money to aid with the build this is about £1,000 in today money. Take a look at some of our photos of this lovely tranquil view. 😌⛪️
