We’re definitely feeling a change of season in the air - but who doesn’t love autumn? We get glorious skies and beautiful colours - and there’s nothing better than a steamy hot tub on a chilly day. There are plenty of amazing walks to do which are suitable at all times of year (and some are nice and short so the rain doesn’t impact you too much!)

What a summer we’ve had at Flusco Wood. We’ve really enjoyed meeting our guests and seeing them enjoy their holiday - even if it has been an unusually hot one! ☀️⛰️

We have no availability until the first week of September and there are some fantastic deals on holidays to be had and hopefully this gorgeous weather hangs around a bit longer. But let’s not forgot how much we all love those first crisp days of autumn, there’s something about getting all cosy after a day out on the Fells. Beer gardens are swapped for pubs with roaring fires and we’ll be sure to update you all with the best places via Paws at the Pub

It’s been a sad couple of days at Flusco Wood saying goodbye to our lovely old Labrador, Madge. Many of you will have met her, especially at check in where she would enthusiastically take treats from anyone who offered them

She’s been a part of Flusco Wood since 2010 and saw all the changes over the years including the opening of the self catering lodges in 2017. She loved meeting all our guests and spending her days enjoying the grounds or raiding the staff biscuit tin. We will miss her terribly ❤️🐾

Do give all your dogs an extra cuddle and treat today

After a very busy afternoon scooping lots of yummy ice creams, we are pleased to announce that Katy’s will be at Flusco Wood every Monday between 5:15-6:15pm 🍦🍦

She serves a range of delicious Luxury Lakes Ice Cream and it really is a proper taste of Cumbria
