We took over at the beginning of October 2011 and are settling in nicely. It is our first venture into the Hospitality Trade, having both worked in a local manufacturing industry. Ullswater House is located in the centre of Pooley Bridge, a picturesque village at the northern end of Lake Ullswater in Cumbria. We are just five miles from the A66/M6 (Junction 40) and are ideally located for a comfor
table stop-over, short break or longer holiday. At Ullswater House, we have five en suite letting rooms – a combination of twin, double, super-king and family accommodation. All rooms are decorated and furnished in a contemporary manner, each complete with large flat-screen TV, luxury bed linen and towels, well stocked complimentary hospitality trays,locally produced organic toiletries, parking and free WiFi.. Our guests have access to free off-road parking, bicycle storage and washing/drying facilities for those rare wet days. We also have a garden and outdoor seating areas which our guests are welcome to use and enjoy. We offer an extensive breakfast menu each morning in our dining room where guests can enjoy a range of cereal, freshly prepared fruit, assorted pastries and yogurts, followed by a hearty full English breakfast cooked using the very best local produce. A selection of teas is available along with fresh filter coffee and a variety of fruit juices to suit all tastes. Lighter options are also available, with vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements catered for. Packed lunches can be provided on request for a small additional cost. A warm welcome is assured to groups such as wedding parties, family reunions, clubs and event participants, and we offer a flexible approach to our customers’ needs.
