With two acres of grounds, and only 200 yds from Lake Ullswater with walking, sailing, climbing, riding and golf all nearby, this is the perfect place to ‘get away from it all’. The drop off point for Ullswater Steamers is on the doorstep, and access to the nearby villages of Glennridding, Patterdale and Pooley Bridge is available by steamer, so there is really no need to get in back in your car until the day you depart. Spectacular walks abound and the delights of dining room in the Howtown Hotel are there to be sampled, together with the Walkers Bar where you are welcome to while away a few hours sampling the local ales on offer or the tearoom adjacent to the hotel which is open 7 days a week from 10.30am serving a range of delicious home-made scones, cakes, light lunches and coffees throughout the day.
