About Lebanon CottageLebanon Cottage is a spacious, well-equipped three-bedroom holiday home in the friendly town of St Just in Penwith, West Cornwall. It sleeps up to five and is relaxed, comfortable, and very dog friendly—with a secure garden and your own fenced play paddock for your dogs to enjoy. Cottage. I post all sorts—updates about the cottage, favourite local spots, photos, and news about when bookings open or cancellations pop up. Town one way, countryside the other

With our position in St Just, it’s easy to spend a fairly lazy holiday, and that's something guests comment on all the time!

You can wander into town in a few minutes for shops, galleries, cafés and pubs. A quick trip out for a pint of milk, a loaf of bread or a cream tea doesn't need planning.

But head the other way and you're looking out towards fields and the valley, with countryside right on the doorstep.

That comes from the way St Just developed. We’re in the older part of the town, while the mining and landscape pulled development off in another direction. The result is that we’ve ended up with the best of both worlds.

Bookings for 2027 are now open.

A few of our regulars have already taken a look, and it’s great to see so many familiar names back in the diary. If you’re someone who likes to plan ahead, now is a good time to have a look.

Here's the headlines:
🛏Sleeps 5 in a master king size, twin / super-king, and a single.
🍴Large modern kitchen diner.

Trengwainton is a lovely place to visit. If you are a National Trust member, entry is free. Great café too in the beautiful walled garden. And if you head up the driveway, or through the woodland, this is the view you get from the Terrace. It's well worth the walk.

If you enjoy your food, you’ve got lots of choices when staying at Lebanon Cottage.

You can cook if that’s what you enjoy, and there’s plenty of pots, pans and practical bits to make that easy.

Or head out into St Just for a takeaway — Chinese, fish and chips, pizza, plus Thali nights and a few other local treats. All within a very short walk.

If you’d rather sit down for a meal, there are some great pubs and cafés. We are so lucky in St Just to have some excellent choices either within a short walk, or a short drive.

If you would like to make the most of the sheltered, private garden, summer is a great time for a barbecue. And if you find you’ve missed something, or fancy a few extra beers for the evening, the shops are only a short stroll away.

It’s the Whitsun Bank Holiday this weekend, and for many it’s half term.

If you’re juggling school holidays and trying to find somewhere that works for everyone, it’s not always straightforward — especially with a dog, or even a few dogs in the mix.

Lebanon Cottage tends to make that a bit easier. The cottage comfortably sleeps five. You can walk into town for food, a drink, or an ice cream, and head straight out into the fields the other way. There’s a secure garden and a paddock for space to run about, lovely walks along the coast path, and beaches nearby that still work well with dogs if you time it right.

If you’re still thinking about a summer break, there are a few weeks left.

Land's End isn't for everyone, but the walk up from Sennen can be glorious.

You can park in the harbour car park, take the coast footpath up the cliff and enjoy all the lovely views without the hype.
